Lutsen Hat
As soon as I made my first sample of this pattern, I thought it reminded me of a hat that belonged on a ski hill. I knew right away I wanted to name it after our local ski area, Lutsen.
The Lutsen Hat uses 3-4 colors of super bulky yarn - I have included three separate 3 and 4-color charts for both child and adult sizes. There are no long floats, and you’re never knitting with more than 2 colors at once. The hat is knit in the round from the bottom up.
This can be a great stash busting pattern, using smaller bits of several colors. I have written the pattern for 3 sizes: child, (adult m/l, and adult l/xl). Shown in Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick and Malabrigo Rasta. Instructions are given for easily adapting the pattern to get a great fit.
