Der Lyannasweater ist ein dicker, kuscheliger Rollkragenpullover, der von oben nach unten gestrickt wird. Seitlich des Rumpfes sowie an den Ärmeln laufen dekorative Zöpfe und 2x2 Rippen nach unten.

Zuerst wird die Halsblende im Nacken gestrickt, danach werden Maschen entlang der dekorativen Schulterlinie zugenommen. Im Anschluss werden nacheinander die beiden Vorderteile geformt und das Rippen- und Zopfmuster fließt dort ebenfalls mit ein. Nach Formung der Hals- und Armausschnitte wird der Rumpf zur Runde geschlossen und der Sweater wird nun in Runden weiter nach unten gestrickt. Um die richtige Länge zu bestimmen, kann der Sweater also jederzeit anprobiert werden.

Das Bündchen wird in Reihen beendet und hat seitlich offene Schlitze. Das Rückenteil wird etwas länger gestrickt.
Aus den Armausschnitten werden die Ärmel im Anschluss von oben nach unten und im 2x2 Rippenmuster gestrickt. Auf Höhe der Schulter läuft das Zopfmuster mittig nach unten – das Bündchen der Ärmel wird überlang gestrickt und dann umgeschlagen getragen.
Für den Kragen werden Maschen aus dem Halsausschnitt aufgenommen und im 2x2 Rippenmuster hoch gestrickt.

Durch das italienische Abketten im 1x1 Rippenmuster entsteht eine sehr schöne Abkettkante. Hierzu müssen die Maschen aus dem 2x2 Rippenmuster in das 1x1 Rippenmuster „getauscht“ werden. Ein einfaches Videotutorial findest du auf der letzten Seite unter den Links.

Lyanna sweater is a thick, cosy turtleneck sweater that is worked top down. It features decorative cables and 2x2 ribbings along the sides of the body and sleeves.

First the neck is worked, whereafter new stitches are picked up along the decorative shoulder line. Then, both front pieces are shaped and the ribbing- and cable pattern is incorporated here. Once the neckline and the armholes are shaped, the body is closed to the round and the sweater is worked in rounds down to the hem. To determine your perfect length, you can try on the sweater at any time.

To create slits at the sides, the hem is worked flat, with a slightly longer back piece.
Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes, so that the sleeves can be worked top down. They are finished with 2x2 ribbed cuffs. From shoulder height, the cable pattern continues downward in the centre – the cuffs are worked extra long and are folded up.
For the turtleneck, new stitches are picked up around the neckline and are worked in 2x2 rib.

Due to the tubular bind-off in 1x1 rib, the sweater gets a neat bind-off edge. Therefore, you have to “rearrange” the stitches from a 2x2 rib to a 1x1 rib. You can find a simple video tutorial on the last page, see: links.
