Lycaon, c’est un croquis dessiné à l’improviste dans mon agenda. C’est une envie de châle bohème à franges (ou non), plutôt graphique et longiligne, et à enfiler dès l’arrivée de l’automne. Une pièce bien épaisse et enveloppante. Alors lorsque Nathalie de Woolissime m’a proposé de travailler avec ses laines, j’ai tout de suite pensé à ce petit dessin.

Lycaon est donc un châle triangulaire, tricoté au point mousse, de la pointe vers le haut, et rythmé par des lignes verticales. J’ai choisi de le décliner de 2 manières différentes, en gardant une épaisseur DK pour l’échantillon :

• Une version plus petite et sans frange, où j’ai choisi de combiner mérinos et mohair pour un rendu moelleux et confortable.
• Une version plus grande et à franges, dans un mérinos organique et gonflant pour révéler ses belles lignes.

Pour l’achat de ce patron, 2 fichiers PDF seront à vous : une version numérique avec photos et une autre imprimable avec 1 seule photo et moins de pages. Il vous sera aussi envoyé une version livret, la version pdf qui me sert pour l’impression des livrets pour les salons.

Tailles : 1, 2.

Matériel : Aiguilles 4,5 ou aiguilles permettant d’obtenir le bon échantillon.
2 marqueurs et une aiguille à laine.

Echantillon : 22 mailles/32 rangs pour 10 cm au point mousse.

Laine :

Ma petite version est réalisée en taille 1 avec 2 écheveaux de Lou (100% Mérinos - 400m. pour 100gr.) et 2 écheveaux de Stella (72% Mohair et 28% Soie- 420m. pour 100gr.), de chez Woolissime en coloris Bourgogne.

Vous pouvez utiliser de la laine DK ou 2 fils Fingering, tant que l’échantillon est respecté, en suivant le métrage suivant :

Lycaon was born as an impromptu sketch in my diary. A wish to wrap myself in a fringed (or maybe not) bohemian looking shawl, with graphical features, that would be the perfect piece to wear during fall. A thick and enveloping accessory. That’s why when Nathalie from Woolissime offered me a yarn collaboration, this design appeared as the perfect idea.

Lycaon is a triangular shaped shawl, knit in garter stitch, from the tip to the upper edge and which features vertical lines. I chose to offer a variety of 2 possibilities on how to work this design, while keeping the same gauge:

• A smaller version without fringe, using a combination of two yarns, merino and mohair, for a squishy and comfy.
• A larger fringed version, knit out of organic merino, a delicious swelling fiber, which is perfect for highlighting the beauty of the vertical lines.

Size: 1, 2

Notions: 4.5 mm / US 7 needles, or size with which you get gauge.2 stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.

Gauge: 22 stitches /32 rows = 10 cm/4 in, in garter st, blocked.

Yarn: The smaller version, size 1, was knit out of 2 skeins of Lou (100% merino - 400m. / 100gr.) held together with 2 skeins of Stella (72% kidmohair, 28% silk - 420m. / 50gr.), from Woolissime, in the Bourgogne colourway.

Given that you get gauge, you can use DK weight yarn or 2 threads of fingering weight yarn held together.

Meterage is as follows : 800, 1020 m.
