Additional Notes:
This poncho is knitted in two panels.
The inside panel is lavender and the outside panel is cranberry and black. Although knitted on circular needles, it is not knitted in the round.
I find this easier than using two long straight needles.
Each panel is knitted from the bottom of the back side to the bottom of the front side. Each even row is knitted and every odd row is purled.
This looks like a long pattern, but the pattern is super easy to pick up.
I bolded areas in the pattern where the general flow makes a change.
The cranberry panel will require knowledge of changing colors while knitting. When the two panels are done, the hemming stitch is used to sew them together. The hemming stitch is a personal preference and feel free to try any other method of joining.
I would love to see how you made yours!
