Lydia Socks
The Lydia Socks are a short crew-length design, featuring the same lace motif as Lydia 2.0, with the twisted purl columns continuing down the top of the foot similarly to the body of the tank. It is worked cuff/top down and uses the same beautiful tubular cast on as Lydia 2.0, a heel flap and gusset construction, and optional color change for the toe. Yardage will vary depending on gauge and the length of the foot, but one 100-gram skein of sport weight yarn should be great regardless of the size you make! To alter the size of the sock slightly, you can simply switch up your yarn weight and/or needle size as desired. The pattern is written for working with 9” circular needles, but could be converted if you prefer magic loop or DPNs.

Notes on sizing:
This pattern is written for 5 sizes, ranging from 6-10 in/15-25.5 cm finished sock foot circumference. It is recommended to choose a size that gives about 1-2 in/2.5-5 cm negative ease for a snug but comfortable fit. The sample size 2 (7 in/18 cm) is shown on an 8 in/20.5 cm foot. Let me know if you have any questions about sizing!
Pattern gauge:
4”/10 cm = 30 sts/45 rounds in stockinette worked in the round
Taken after wet blocking, using US size 2 (2.75mm) needles
Note: All measurements are approximate and taken after blocking. Inches are rounded to the nearest 0.25 in and centimeters to the nearest 0.5 cm.
