To complete the collection of Lydie accessories, a pair of mittens was necessary! Knitted in the round from the wrist to the fingers, the mittens feature the twisted pattern that characterizes all Lydie accessories. After knitting the wrist in 2x2 ribbing, the thumb is formed by a set of increases that create the gusset, and then the stitches are placed on hold while finishing the glove in the round. Finally, the thumb is created by knitting a few rounds.
Warm and practical, mittens add a touch to any winter outfit, especially when coordinated with the other Lydie accessories.

75% SW Merino Wool, 25% Nylon

Alternative yarn: Rios by Malabrigo (in blue on the pictures)

Circular needles: 4 mm & 3mm (80 cm) / 6US & 3US (32in)
Notions: cable needle, 3 different stitch markers, waste yarn, tapestry needle, scissors.

GAUGE

Knitted flat on 4mm (6US) needles in stockinette stitch:
24 sts x 34 rws = 10 x 10 cm = 4x4 in

FRANCAIS:
Pour compléter la ligne d’accessoires Lydie, il fallait bien une paire de mitaines. Tricotées en rond et sans couture, du poignet vers les doigts, les mitaines reprennent le motif torsadé qui caractérise tous les accessoires Lydie. Après avoir tricoté le poignet en côtes 2/2, le pouce est formé par un jeu d’augmentations qui dessinent le gousset puis les mailles sont mises en attente le temps de finir la mitaine en rond. A la fin, on reprend les mailles du pouce pour quelques rangs en rond.
Chaudes et pratiques, les mitaines viennent agrémenter toute tenue hivernale, surtout lorsqu’elles sont assorties aux autres accessoires de la ligne Lydie.
