Lykke hood
The Lykke Hood is a knitted hood with chevron stripes and minimalistic details. It is started at the top, then stitches are picked along the sides of the top and worked downwards toward the neck. The neck is joined in the round under the chin, and worked in 1x1 ribbing. Lastly stitches are picked up around the face opening and worked in the round. You can also add an i-cord drawstring if you want.
The chevron stitch pattern is knitted by increasing and decreasing stitches. Despite the zigzag pattern, there is no stranded colorwork in the pattern. Instead, the colors are knitted in stripes one at a time.
You can either work the hood in DK weight yarn or use a combination of fingering weight yarn and a lace weight silk mohair. The Lykke Hood is intended for leftover skeins of yarn as you only need one ball or less of each yarn.
