Lynnfield Tee
Charming bands of zig zag purl stitches add subtle texture to this classic tee, with simple garter stitch finishing off the scoop neck and arm openings. An easy and relaxing knit, this tee will be a spring or summer favorite.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Bust - 34¼ (39½, 44½, 50¾)(54, 57¼, 62)“.
Intended to be worn with 0-4” of ease.
Length - 21 (21½, 22¾, 24)(24½, 25¼, 25¾)”.
YARN: 640 (750, 900, 1070)(1160, 1270, 1400) yds DK weight cotton or cotton blend.
Shown in Knit Picks “CotLin” (70% Tanguis Cotton, 30% Linen; 123yds/50g) - U222 Raindrop.
6 (7, 8, 9)(10, 11, 12) skeins.
NEEDLES: U.S. size 6 (4mm) circular or straight needles.
U.S. size 5 (3.75mm) 16” (40cm) and 24” (60cm) circular needles.
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.
OTHER: Stitch holders or waste yarn, removable stitch markers, stitch marker, extra needle in larger size for 3-needle bind off, tapestry needle.
GAUGE: 22 sts/30 rows = 4” in stockinette, blocked.
5 sts = 1” in Zig Zag Band, blocked.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Techniques include long tail cast on, German short rows, 3-needle bind off, and picking up stitches.
CONSTRUCTION: Back and front are knit separately from the bottom up. Shoulders are shaped with short rows and joined with 3-needle bind off. Sides are seamed and stitches are picked up for the neck and armhole trims and knit in the round.
