Lyra is a great addition to any active kid’s closet, perfect for throwing on whenever they need a little extra warmth. With long sleeves, climbing cables, and a cozy hood, Lyra will be the perfect thing to keep handy for crisp mornings and chilly afternoons. This cardigan is knit flat in one piece from the bottom up to the underarms, where the back and front are completed separately and seamed at the shoulders. Sleeve stitches are picked up along the armhole edge and worked flat to the wrist. Hood is knit up from the collar, continuing the back cable and joining at the top with Kitchener stitch. Valley Yarns Superwash Bulky is a soft and substantial superwash Merino wool that is machine-washable and cozy and comfortable to wear, making this the perfect sweater for active children. Cable patterns are both charted and written out.
