This fun cardi was designed in collaboration with my dear friend Julie, who owns Jubie’s Laine et Tricot. We love Artyarns and and dreamt up this lightweight cardi for spring and summer. The fronts do not overlap. Its perfect to wear with a cute coordinating cami or tshirt.

This sweater is knit flat, top down. The back is started with a provisional cast on and knit until the armhole depth is achieved. The stitches are then put on hold. Stitches for both fronts are picked up from the provisional cast on and knit until the armhole depth is achieved. The back and fronts are then joined and the body is worked until 1 inch less than the desired length.

Main colour - 2 skeins of Merino Cloud in an ombre colourway (shown in the LYS colourway) or approx 200gr (800 yards of fingering weight yarn)
Contrast colour - 1 skein of Artyarns Merino Cloud in a solid or tonal contrast colour (shown 2391 pink on Lucinda or 247 grey on Julie) approx 100gr (400 yards of fingering)

Cette veste amusante a été créée en collaboration avec. mon amie Julie de Jubie’s Laine et Tricot. On adore la laine Artyarns et on rêvait de ce chandail léger pour le printemps et l’été. Les devants ne se chevauche pas. C’est parfait pour porter avec une camisole ou chandail.
Ce chandail se tricote à plat du haut vers le bas. Le dos commence par un montage provisoire et se tricote jusqu’à la profondeur de l’emmanchure est atteinte. On met les mailles en attente. Puis, on reprend les mailles pour les devant et on les tricote jusqu’à la profondeur de l’emmanchure est atteinte. Ensuite le dos et les devants sont joints et on tricote jusqu’à la longueur désirée du tricot est fait.
