If you’ve got a kid, and they need some summer clothes, I guess this is a good knitting option. All but the largest of the currently planned sizes can be knit from a single skein of Noro Taiyo Sock or another summer-friendly yarn, and all the work is done with a single circular needle, so there are no DPNs to wrangle.

(Is Taiyo Sock best choice here? There’s some wool content, and the thickness plus the wool makes it feel less like an airy summer tunic top and more like a transitional-season piece. In fewer words, it feels autumnal to me. You can knit this garment in all-cotton, cotton-linen, or cotton-acrylic for a lighter-feeling fabric: Red Heart It’s a Wrap Rainbow and Juniper Moon Farms Zooey can be knit at the listed gauge and have a lighter, summery feeling. On the other hand, if you have mild summers, this may be perfect as shown.)

This project is pretty straightforward, but experience with short rows and knitting in the round will make it moreso.

Gauge:
Gauge is 21 sts and 30 rows in blocked stockinette, worked in the round. Please be sure to check your gauge.
