About the design
m e l l o w slipover is an elegant and feminine slipover that you can wear everyday as well as for parties. With discrete sleeve ruffles that widen at the top, it will give you a nice range of motion for the arms, so the ruffles are not “in the way” of the armhole. There are nice, small details hidden throughout the pattern for a slipover that is pretty and comfortable, and has a fit that is elegant, light and feminine.
You’ll start by working the upper part of the back piece, then pick up stitches at the top of the back piece for the front piece, at each shoulder. You will work increases and decreases at the neckline, then join the front piece under the neckline, and then join the front and the back together under the armholes. When the body is finished you will work ruffles around each armhole, which are made wider at the top and narrower at the bottom with the help of short rows.
For the last 4 sizes, the fit has no ease around the waist, and a negative ease of about 16 cm at the bust. Although the number of stitches is smaller, the sleeve opening will add to the overall ease.
