Mabel’s Sister is the larger, adult version of the original Mabel cardigan. Like the original, Mabel’s Sister is knit from the top down with increases through the yoke. The body then divides and stitches for the sleeves are placed on hold before continuing to work downwards to the hem. Finally, the sleeves are completed in the round from the top down.

The original Mabel cardigan is aviailable as a free PDF download through Loop’s blog.

Also on Loop’s Blog, you’ll find a tutorial on how the cluster stitch is created.
