Mac-ighne
Working as a KAL in the FiberArtWork group for the month of November, this scarf is a quick knit, some challenges; but easy enough to make up one or two as gifts for Christmas, coming up in just about 7 weeks.
Mac-ighne is Scottish Gaelic for son of one’s child. This scarf is designed for my grandson, though it is uni-sex I named it for him. It is the first of 6 new scarf & cowl designs that will come out before Christmas & then become an e-book to honor my grandchildren.
This scarf can be made in fingering, DK, or worsted weight yarns. The sample is in DK. Yardages are minimums, it is up to the knitter how long they want to make it, so it could change. I like it a bit longer, living in the Northwoodz of WI. We are already below freezing in our morning hours. A warm scarf with a nice sweater, keeps the chill off without needing to add a jacket this early in the year.
There are also instructions on widening it, if the knitter would like to.

Please link up a make project page & post photos, I would love to see your Mac-ighne scarves, too.
The most important thing is to Enjoy the Journey!
