Macera
PATTERN NOTES
Macera is the Turkish word for adventure, and this shawl is a marvelous match for your next one. Whether you’re romping around distant mountains, enjoying a rainy day exploring a new city, or are visiting friends and family for the holidays, this design is guaranteed to find a home draped over your shoulders on every chilly day of the year.
Macera features squishy garter stitch, graphic colorwork stripes, and a classic lace edging. It is knit from the top down beginning with a tab cast-on. During the stripe sections, change colors using the stranded method. During garter sections, increase rows are worked every RS row. During Stripe Sections, increases are worked 3 out of every 4 rows to compensate for the difference in row gauge. The border is worked as a knit-on edging. One stitch at the end of every row of the border is knit together with a shawl body stitch.
