This is a great easy last minute gift that is highly customizable (You could change the Fair Isle pattern, you could use cables, lace, or anything you like -- be creative!).

The pattern assumes you have basic knowledge of machine knitting such as how to cast on and off, use a cast on comb and weights, how to use the ribber, and how to use your machine to do the patterning (fair isle in this case).

If you don’t have a ribber, this could be done on a flat bed machine by either hand-knitting the ribbing, or using the drop & latch method.
