This pattern is an exceptionally easy way to mimic a plaid effect. It is crocheted using Tunisian C2C (corner to corner) crochet, resulting in diagonal stitch bands of colour. The “plaid” is completed using surface slip stitch worked in the grid created by Tunisian Simple Stitches. This pattern is suitable for competent beginners who understand the basics of Tunisian crochet.
The pattern includes options for using self-striping or ombre yarns and a contrast colour, or 2 solid colours with a contrast yarn.
There are infinite possibilities for colour choices, striping patterns and sizes.
I have been designing contemporary Tunisian projects for many years and my designs have been regularly featured in Crochet World and Simply Crochet. While my specialty is TITR (Tunisian Crochet in the Round), I love to design simpler patterns that will introduce beginners to the joys of Tunisian crochet.

You will need Tunisian hook with a 20 inch cable and end cap.
