The Maddy Jumper is a boxy jumper with a warm and squishy texture. The jumper is worked top down and in the round with absolutely no seaming. The length of the body and the sleeves are completely customisable.

Using 4mm needles and one strand of DK for the cuffs and collar, and 8mm needles and two strands of DK for the body and sleeves, this pattern is the perfect opportunity to use up any DK scraps you have lying around. I’ve written the pattern using two colours, but you can use as many as you like. Look at the last page for examples of different colour ways from my test knitters.

This is an advanced beginner pattern, including the techniques long tail cast on, picking up stitches and increasing stitches.

Materials

500–1300m DK colour A
400–900m DK colour B
4mm 40cm cable (or longer with magic loop) circular needles
4mm DPNs if you prefer these for the cuffs (optional)
8mm long circular needles (whatever works for your measurements!)
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
8 large stitch markers, or pieces of scrap yarn
Two stitch holders, or longer pieces of scrap yarn

XS = 75cm bust
S = 83.5cm bust
M = 92.5cm bust
L = 105.5cm bust
XL = 114.5cm bust
XXL = 123cm bust
3X = 130cm bust
4X = 145cm bust
5X = 154cm bust
