Size
Madison is about 11” tall standing when made with worsted yarn.
Materials
Worsted weight or other yarn in color of choice. Bear shown is made with about 5 oz. Patons Canadiana #24471 Beige.
G hook for worsted-weight yarn or hook size appropriate to achieve a firm but not stiff crochet fabric
For eyes: black half-ball shank buttons for eyes (bear shown was made with 3/8” diameter buttons) OR black yarn for embroidering eyes
For button or bead joints: Four four-hole flat buttons OR four beads large enough not to slip between crochet stitches
Safety notice
Buttons and small parts can be a hazard to small children. Instructions are included for creating embroidered eyes and yarn-only joints for bears for children under the age of three.
