What a labor of love this little pattern has been!

Well, for the most part it kind of just came together. I was knitting a stocking for several someone specials and wanted them all to be different, so started designing charts for the third one. My daughter loved the hearts I drafted so much she asked for a hat. I just came together so effortlessly, it was like it was meant to be!

I am having a love affair with intarsia lately, and this hat has just enough to satisfy my need for colorwork without being taxing. Each hat size uses less than a skein of each color, and I made even the largest size during one Sunday worth of knitting - these hats are super quick!
