Magda's mittens
Scroll down for the English description.

The Magda mittens has a longer history with several elements behind them. It all started with the car we had when I was a kid. It was an old, green Mazda we called Magda. The day my father bought a new car, I refused to sit in it because I just wanted the old Magda, even though this was also a Mazda that we called Magda 2.
Jumping ahead several years where I bought myself a few skeins with Gammelnorsk Spælsau yarn from Fagermyr Gård here in Oppdal. One of the colours I bought was called Magda, after the sheep the wool came from.
I knew that I had to make myself some special Magda mittens, and that’s how these were made.
There’s only one size in the pattern and it’s medium adult female. You can easily go up a needle size or two and also use thicker yarn for bigger hands, or go down to get smaller.
You will need between 25-30g in each colour for one pair, so here’s your chance to bust your stash and get rid of some scraps.
