♥ MAGGIE HAT CROCHET PATTERN ♥

Named after my own grandmother who could carry off a hat like no other.

The pattern is written using UK terminology and includes US conversion details.

My aim is to write clear, simple and pretty patterns for all crocheters from those with years of experience to those who have not long discovered the ‘joy of the hook’. This pattern includes a full photo tutorial.

This pattern will make an average adult-sized hat with an unstretched circumference of approximately 64cm/25 inches. Given the nature of its design, the hat can easily be made smaller or larger by working less or more rounds respectively.

To make my Maggie Hat you will need:-

♥ 2 x 50g balls of aran weight (medium worsted) yarn.
♥ Additional scraps of dk yarn for design.
♥ 5mm (US 8) crochet hook.
♥ Stitch markers and tapestry needle.

Stitches used:-

♥ Double crochet (US single crochet)
♥ Treble crochet (US double crochet)
♥ Slip stitch
