Maggie Pye is a gauntlet style mitten with traditional long cuffs and a gusset thumb. The mitten will be approximately 8 inches around at the widest part of the hand, which is a medium to large women’s hand. This is an easy mitten to adapt to fit almost any hand--taking stitches out of the circumference of the hand will be simple, as the small cables just need to be centered on the front of the hand, and the rest is just stockinette.

You will need every bit of 2 skeins of Heilo in the main color to do a 7 inch hand, so it is recommended that you get 3 skeins, or over 230 yards, of the main color in a sport weight. The colorwork take very little of the contrasting color.
