The Maggie Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. It has European shoulders and the construction starts on the back, working flat to the armholes. Once this is ready, stitches are picked up on the slanting edges for each front, until they’re joined at the neckline and worked together.
Both front and back are joined on the underarms, where the sweater is worked in the round with 4-stitch cables on the sides. After the body is ready, sleeve and collar stitches are picked up to be worked in the round.
