In the 17th century, Finland experienced an era of witch trials. In court cases dealing with magic, it was categorised as either demonic magic with harmful intent or natural magic with benevolent intent; the latter was referred to in Latin as magia naturali. The Magia Naturali sweater features plant motifs and symbols that remind us of the heritage of previous generations, the art of healing with plants and spells.
