This hat is designed to be knit with a ‘magic ball’ made from joining small amounts of 4ply yarn using a magic knot.

The hat would also work well with self-striping yarn or could even be worked in one colour.

It is a quick and easy project, kept interesting by the colour changes. My version took only 50g of yarn but if you would like a hat with a turned up brim, more yarn will be needed
