These simple handwarmers expand like magic! Laying on a counter, they look too small to fit an adult’s hand, but the ribbing stretches to accommodate a hand much larger than you would expect. They’re comfortable to wear, and could work as a base for many different cosplay gloves, too.

The Magic Handwarmers are available in three sizes: Small (fits 7” circumference hand), Medium (fits 8” circumference hand), and Large (fits 9” circumference hand). They’re very stretchy, so if you’re between sizes, choose the larger size.

The pattern was designed with Knit One Crochet Too Hand Dyed Covet, but has been tested in a wide range of fingering weight yarns. Wool or other animal fibers work best because of their stretch and memory, but you may have success with acrylic yarns as well. Cotton will stretch out over time, and the fit won’t be as snug after a short amount of wear.
