This hat is magical because it can fit on almost anyone! The pattern is suitable for beginners and experienced knitters alike. It’s quick enough to whip up in a few hours, making it a great last minute gift too.

The ribbing stretches to accommodate larger heads, and contracts to keep smaller heads warm. The sample is shown on my 16 month old daughter and my husband. You can fold the brim for smaller heads, or keep it unfolded to cover the ears of larger heads.

It’s also a great way to use leftover or smaller skeins of worsted weight yarn. The sample took only 90 yards of each color.
