Und natürlich sprechen wir hier nicht vom Skigebiet in Kalifornien, sondern dem Ort, an dem die PRUnicorns dem tristen Alltagsgrau entschwinden, um Einhornmähnen zu Zöpfen zu flechten und neue Ideen auszuhecken. Wenn gerade keine Zeit ist, magische Abenteuer zu erleben, dann sorgen zumindest die MagicMountainSocks für Sternenstaub im Alltag!

Schnappe dir deine zwei Lieblingsfarben oder kombiniere alle Facetten des Regenbogens! Um eine gute Sichtbarkeit der Einhörner zu erreichen, sollten die Farben einen starken Hell-Dunkel Kontrast aufweisen. Prüfe dies, indem du sie im Tageslicht nebeneinander fotografierst und das Bild auf schwarz-weiss umstellst. Wenn sie sich in Graustufen deutlich unterscheiden bist du auf der sicheren Seite!

Bevor es losgeht, möchte ich dir ans Herz legen, die gesamte Anleitung einmal durchzulesen, um so ein Verständnis für das Projekt zu bekommen oder gegebenenfalls neue Techniken vorab zu üben.

We are of course not talking about the skiing resort in California, but about the place, where PRUnicorns go to escape the grey drag of reality, where they braid unicorn manes and get creative. When there is no time to have magical adventures, the MagicMountainSocks will add a little stardust to everyday life.
Choose your two favourite colours or combine all shades of the rainbow!

In order for the unicorns to pop, I recommend choosing strongly contrasting colours. The easiest way of finding out if your selected yarns work, is to take a picture of your yarns side by side in natural daylight, and then set the colour saturation of your photo to black and white. If the grey shades still show a strong contrast, you made a good choice!

Before we begin, I recommend reading the entire knitting instructions once. This will give you a good understanding of your project, and help to make sure that you know all necessary techniques (or give you time to practise in advance).

We have given you several blank pages at the end of this booklet for any notes you might want to take on your project, or information you might want to write down for your loved ones. Perhaps you want to add or substract a few rows to your socks, put down the names of the yarns you are using, etc.. this way, all the info you need is neatly gathered in one place.
