Magic of the Circus
This colourful clutch bag is knitted in a variegated yarn, using seamless techniques. The flap is made first, one hexagon at a time, with more hexagons joined on by picking up sttiches. Once the flap is completed, stitches are picked up round three sides of the flap to make a mitred facing.
Stitches are then cast-on and picked up along the remaining edge of the flap, before the bag is knitted, from the top down, in the round. The lower edges are joined using a three-needle cast-off. The bag is strengthened using a thick interfacing covered in lining fabric.
