Knitting level: Intermediate-Advanced

The Ghibli sweater is worked on circular needles top down in the round seamlessly. No major sewing is required at the end aside from sewing in cast on/ off and the floated colour work. This pattern requires previous knowledge of using circular needles and multiple colour stands/ floating yarn. Help can be found by searching these terms in YouTube.

ABBREVIATIONS: CO / K / P / STS / KFB / SBM
FAIR ISLE COLOURWORK up to 4 strands at one time used

PATTERN IS A ROUGH START OFF GUIDE AND WILL DIFFER BASED ON BODY SIZES. USE JUDGEMENT OF ADDING/ REDUCED ROWS / STTICHES BEST FOR YOUR BODY TYPE. Rough guide for waist size is as follows. Add 15 - 20cm for extra ease. Result may differ in gauge depending on brand thickness of DK yarn and choice of acrylic or animal based yarn. The yarn I used was 10x10cm (4”x4”) = 21 sts x 28rows
Waist S 110CM/ M 120CM / L 130CM / XL 150CM

YARN:
DK DOUBLE KNIT YARN
(I went with a Alpaca/ Sheep blend but you can also use acrylic or cotton depending on preference and budget) I knitted a medium and used x2 50g balls of each shade/ x3 of white/ x1 of purple. Approx 700g with leftovers. I’d recommend an additional 50g ball of each for L and 100g ball of each for XL.
GAUGE: 10X10CM 4X4” / 21STS X 28 ROWS

NEEDLES:
This sweater project will be done in all circular one piece. You will need various cable sizes to increase the project in the round. I used 80cm - 200cm knit pro system.
3.5 - 4mm needles for the cast on/ ribbing.
4mm - 4.5mm needles for main section.
(Go with the higher size for thicker DK)
