Magical Forest
A Magical Forest is home to Elementals such as Elves, Fairies, Gnomes and Devas. The ecosystem of the forest is a beautifully complex collection of life forms working in harmony with one another.
The trees are knit using one cable cross and twisted stitches. For each tree, I knit two trees of the same color, then stitched them together with right sides facing out. At this point the beads are stitched invisibly on each side. A hanger is placed at the top, but optional…I used ribbon as a hanger. Easy to knit…for gift giving or an ornament, using leftover yarns from other projects, as well as beads. They’re very festive as Christmas trees or just as Magical Trees from the Magical Forest.
For the Red Tree I used buttons from my collection instead of beads. I used Malabrigo Mecha this time to create a thicker tree to support the weight of the buttons, so I went up one needle size. A very fun way to display beautiful buttons.
