I wanted to make a hat that I can use on my little 4 month old girl that is silly and goofy and that she could wear before she can tell me NO! This pattern is written to use 4 different color yarns. It is also a very stretch pattern, allowing to stretch out the use of this hat for a couple extra months while they grow. The 4-9 month hat fit my daughter at 4 months, but there was definitely room for her to grow in the hat.
