Magical Unicorn Puppet
Unicorn Hand Puppet
GAUGE N/A
The possibilities for this puppet are endless and the only thing that will vary is the sizing depending on the yarn you decide to use. You don’t have to worry about exact needle sizes. This project is also a great way to use up extra yarn in your stash.
SIZES
Small & Large (Directions given separately)
YARN
Bulky or chunky weight yarn. (You can also knit with two strands of worsted weight.)
Small: Approx. 120-150 yards (1 Skein)
Large: Approx. 220-250 yards (2 Skeins)
• Smaller amount of yarn in a different color for the unicorn’s horn.
• Knit in a strand of mohair if you would like your puppet to have a fuzzy head or horn.
NEEDLES
Size US 15 circular needle 16” (or needle size to achieve desired gauge.)
Size US 15 double pointed needles
Smaller US (sizes 6-9) needles if you wish to put teeth in your unicorn’s mouth.
OTHER ITEMS NEEDED
• 3 stitch markers (1 of different color).

• Plastic pieces for interior of mouth (I use Darice Mesh Stiff Plastic Canvas #33106).
