Narra una leggenda che Anemone fosse una ninfa della corte di Flora. Un giorno Zefiro e Borea s’innamorarono di lei, ma Flora, indispettita, decise di punirla tramutandola in un fiore. La condanna peggiore fu che era destinato a schiudersi precocemente e subire i venti di tramontana (Borea), ancora freddi, che sparsero nell’aria i suoi petali, così che con l’arrivo del vento tiepido primaverile (Zefiro), il fiore fosse già avvizzito. Zefiro o “fiore del vento” (perché il termine deriva dal greco “anemos”che significa appunto vento) è un fiore molto delicato ed il suo periodo di fioritura molto breve. La fioritura può avvenire a fine inverno, inizio primavera; il fiore simboleggia la speranza e l’attesa.
Ispirata da questi fiori che ho utilizzato lavorandoli come inserti, ho utilizzato due filati a contrasto: il panna per gli anemoni bianchi ed un salmone sfumato per il corpo principale e parte delle maniche.

The worst punishment was that il was destine to open early and suffer the still cold north wind (Borea), which blew its petals into the air, so that by the time the spring wind (Zephyrus) arrived, the flower had already withered. Zephyrus or “wind flower” (because the term comes from the Greek “anemos” which means wind) is a very delicate flower and its flowering period is very short. Flowering can take place in late winter, early spring; the flower is a symbol of hope and expectation.
Inspired by these flowers, which I used ad inserts in the top of the shoulders, I designed a romantic sweater with used two contrasting yarn: cream for the anemones and a shaded salmon for the main body and part of the sleeves.
