Mahal Poncho
The Mahal Poncho is the ultimate fashion piece. It can be comfy and soft or add an extra layer of warmth to a t-shirt in the evening, or a light addition on top of a swimsuit on the way back from the beach. It’s cheyenne inspiration has given the Mahal Poncho an ultra simple shape Depending on your mood, wear it short on the waist with the seam on the shoulders, or try the longer version with the seam placed in the front. Get ready to spend a few hours face to face with your Mahal Poncho, spend a few moments swapping colours and counting rows. It’s worth it.
This is a great pattern for the more experienced knitter using stocking stitch and intarsia. To knit the Mahal Poncho you will need 14 balls of WATG’s 100% Pima Cotton. (8 balls of yarn in the main colour, 2 balls of yarn for the motif colour, 4 balls of yarn for the cuffs) You will also need a pair of 8mm (11 US) needles.
