This fun shawl, worked from the top down, combines one strand of fingering weight and one strand of lace weight, sometimes alternating, sometimes worked together. Paula Pereira used wispy mohair Piper and perky Finch in her Mahana shawl. The motif in the glorious lace border is also tucked into the bands of garter, welting, and fisherman’s rib. We love this airy and warm piece.
