Create your own owl with our new Maia Owl pattern. This pattern is easiest for those with knowledge of basic crochet stitches and working in the round. As part of the Owls for Orphans shop, a portion of each sale will be donated to an orphan care organization. The Maia Owl is our most popular owl and is named after the artist’s adopted daughter.

This pattern gives detailed written instructions as well as photographs to help you complete your owl. Our email address is also included should you run into any hiccups. To make this owl you will need:

  • Less than 1 skein yarn in main color (approx. 90 yds)
  • Approximately 12 yds of yarn in accent color
  • Approximately 6 yds white yarn (or other accent color)
  • Polyester fiberfill (about 1 ounce)
  • Size G hook
  • Yarn needle

Stitches you will need to know to complete this pattern are: chain, single crochet, half double crochet, half double crochet decrease..
