Main Star Shawl
Sometimes patterns are thought up because the designer wants a certain look and can’t find it elsewhere. That’s how this shawl was born. It’s a one-skein, asymmetrical triangle shawl, worked sideways with garter stitch borders and garter rows before the bind off. The simple stockinette pattern allows every pop of colour and tonality to be the star of the show.
Sample Info:
Yarn: Dragon Hoard Yarn Epic Sock in “Don’t You Want Me Baby?” (436 yds per 100g)
Finished measurements: 52 inches long across top edge, 15.5 inches deep at middle point
I made this shawl in fingering weight, but the pattern can be done with any weight of yarn in any gauge! Just choose a needle size that gives a fabric you like. I have included my gauge in case anyone would like to simply copy what I’ve done.
- Note that different yarn weights and gauges will require different amounts of yarn.
