Maine Morning Headwarmer
An delightful, textured and cabled headwarmer/headband for the when the weather gets a bit nippy. I was inspired to create this mixture of stitches for the days when I decide to go crosscountry
skiing but get too hot with a hat.
As this pattern only took about 70 yards of yarn I think small amounts of handspun would work wonderfully with this project.
The Fiber of My Being, Razz-a-matz, 100% baby alpaca, chunky yarn
Substitutions: Baby Alpaca Chunky by Cascade Yarns, Cadena by Knit Picks, Wool Ease Chunky by Lion Brand. I only used about 70 yards for this project . I think small amounts of handspun would work wonderfully too.
#1 set US #10/6mm double-point needles
Notions: stitch marker (for marking beginning of round), cable needle, and darning needle for weaving in ends.
