Mairead left us too soon. She was full of life and love. From the time I was old enough Mairead would braid my hair. She was an amazing horsewoman, and an amazing mother and wife. Her children lost so much when she and her husband were killed in a car accident. The world lost a gentle soul and I lost a wonderful big sister. The reason I did this sock was the braid on the side of the sock reminds me of the way she braided my hair.
