Imagine celebrating spring wearing a pair of ruffled socks tucked into crisp white sneakers! Maj includes sizes from kids to adults approx. size 20-43. The patten does not include any complicated techniques and suits both beginners and more experienced knitters. The pattern includes an instruction for increasing the width around the heel if you are equipped with higher ancles than I do you can easily add additional rounds around the heel. But detailed instructions for this is included in the pattern. The socks in the pictures are knitted in Junior Raggi from Järbo and Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive but any other fingering yarn and silk mohair with the same yardage will work just as fine.

DIFFICULTY/SKILLS/TECHNIQUES
This is an easy pattern that works for both beginners and experienced knitters. The afterthought heel design is a simple instruction that doesn’t require short rows and works therefore well for beginners.

2,25mm DPN’s OR 2,25mm/ 80-100cm circular needle for magic loop method for ribbing.
2,5mm DPN’s OR 2,5mm/ 80-100cm circular needle för magic loop.
4mm DPN’s OR 4mm/ 80-100cm circular needle for magic loop for ruffles.

GAUGE
29 sts/42 rounds = 10cm x 10 cm (4x4”) in stockinette stitch knitted in the round measured after blocking.
