And…we’re back!
Due to a sudden demand for spring themed mittens, this pattern has been resurrected. Enjoy!

These stranded colourwork mittens are part of the floral themed “Vintern väntar-vantar” set. “Majgull” is the second largest size and fits ages 10 up to a women’s size small (measurements below).

Included in the pattern are instructions for an (optional) finger slit, to enable use of electronic devices while wearing the mittens.

The pattern pdf comes in two versions: a 9-page full colour one for online reading and a 4-page black and white version for printing. Buyers have access to both.

The mittens are knitted in the round, on 2.5mm (US 1.5) and 2mm (US 0) double pointed needles OR the sizes you need to obtain a gauge of 31/32.

The recommended yarn is Onion No. 4 Organic Wool + Nettle, which is super soft and has a lovely shine from the nettle fibers. You may of course use a different DK yarn, as long as you get the gauge right. Using the suggested yarn you’d need a maximum of one skein of the main colourway, half a skein each of three more plus a very small amount of a fifth.

To finish the project you’ll also need two stitch markers, two stitch holders, a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle.

Happy knitting, and don’t forget to check out the other mittens in the series!

A finished mitten is 26 cm/10.2 inches long, with a circumference of 20 cm/7.9 inches around the hand.
