Description
The Make It Green Dog Cowl is beginner-friendly and an excellent light layer for cooler temperatures. Its construction makes it easy to put on your dog and is highly adaptable to fit all shapes and sizes.

Important Note: The Make It Green Dog Cowl is best worn with a back-clip dog harness. This type of harness will ensure the cowl stays in place and does not slide around your dog’s neck.

Suggested Yarn
Bulky weight yarn. Sandnes Garn Børstet Alpakka in the color statement green (8236) shown in pictures.

Yardage
Since our furry friends come in all shapes and sizes, this pattern is designed to be highly adaptable; thus making it difficult to provide accurate yardage amounts for each size. The size 3 that I made for my dog used 86 meters / 90 grams.

Needles
5mm circular needles or DPNs
Suggested cable lengths if not using magic loop method:

• Size 1: DPNs
• Sizes 2-3: DPNs or 23 cm/9 in circular needles
• Sizes 4-5: DPNs or 23 cm/9 in or 30 cm/12 in circular needles
• Sizes 6-10: 40 cm/16 in circular needles

Gauge
18 sts in 2x2 ribbing=10 cm (with 5mm knitting needles or needles to meet gauge)
Note: Row gauge is not needed in this pattern.
