Thanksgiving is already here, and as you plan your holiday shopping, I’d like to ask you to please “shop small” this year. Think about your local retailers, working hard to provide you with unique purchasing options and enjoyable surroundings, and consider making some of your transactions there.

I’m offering this pattern free through the holidays. It is knit with one skein of Malabrigo Rios, which is available at many LYSs. Download this pattern and head out to your favorite shop to pick up a skein (or two) and beads (optional). Knit it up for a gift or for yourself and feel happy that you absolutely have made a difference! Happy Thanksgiving!

Beads are optional. If you choose to not bead the cowl, eliminate the PB (Place Bead) instruction in the pattern.
The cowl is approximately 5” deep x 54” in circumference.
Gauge 4 sts./in. after blocking.

Materials
One skein (100 grams, 210 yards) of Malabrigo, Rios, 100% Kettle dyed Superwash Merino, worsted weight.
Note: Any light worsted weight or super wash worsted weight yarn will work in this pattern, as long as the beads slide easily along the yarn.
Size 9 circular needles in 32” length.
250 TOHO 6/0 round seed beads. Beading surface and floss threader. Stitch marker. Yarn needle.
