This tie is knit from the bottom up in a simple moss stitch using a fingering weight yarn of your choice.

Needles & Notions
3mm (US 2.5) circular knitting needles at least 16” in length (the longer they are the easier they will be to work with flat - I use 32”)
OR
3mm (US 2.5) straight knitting needles

5” at its widest point, 2.5” at its skinniest point, and 53” long (see diagram)

Gauge
30 sts and 48 rows = 4” on 3mm (US 2.5) in moss stitch

Yarn & Yardage
Any fingering weight yarn of your choice. I used Cotton Fingering from Northbound Knitting in colour “Merlot”.

You will need 250 yards / 230 meters.
