Makepeace is a grand rectangle wrap combining the innovative technique of assigned pooling with slipped-stitch colorwork knitting for an all-new stitch collab. Assigned pooling occurs when a new texture is isolated within a specific color range in a skein of specially dyed yarn.
A repeating slipped-stitch pattern is assigned to the contrasting tonal color to create a backdrop of interlocking shapes for the aster stitches assigned to the accent color.

Makepeace is knit flat in two contrasting colorways; one engineered to work with assigned pooling plus one contrasting tonal.

Makepeace is meant to convey a message of hope for unity and peace. The interlocking motifs of the slipped stitch pattern symbolize unity, and the original color choices represent enduring hope.

Or your choice of 2 skeins of assigned pooling yarn and 2 skeins of a contrasting tonal colorway. Approximately 1,600 yards of fingering weight yarn in total.

Finished Measurements: 18” wide x 68” long.

Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) on a 24” cable.

Gauge: 24 sts and 24 rows = 4” in mosaic pattern after blocking. For ease of counting, measure gauge over the central part of the mosaic pattern in the stockinette portion.
