Note
Makiba is knit bottom up, picking up stitches from I-cord and working front and back body flat. Work double knitting for the neckband, and reverse stockinette for the body. From underarm, work right front, left front, and back body separately. After joining the shoulders, work collar in short rows from front and back body stitches. Armholes and pocket openings are finished in I-cord. The gauge between double knitting for the neckband and reverse stockinette for the bodies differs, so work short rows for neckband every 6 rows throughout.

Note
I-cord から目を拾いボトムアップで前後身頃を続けて前立て部分は袋編み, 本体部分は裏メリヤス編みで往復編みで編む, 脇下から左右前身頃, 後ろ身頃を別々に編み進める . 肩を接いだあと休めていた前身頃, 後ろ身頃の目から続けて襟を引き返し編みで編む.　袖ぐり, ポケット口は I-cord になっている.
前立ての袋編みと本体の裏メリヤス編みのゲージが違うため, 通してずっと 6 段編むごとに前立ての引き返し編みを行う.
