This is a version for a younger child. The original Making Waves in my collection was designed in a child to teen size.*

Size: pre-school age child
The sample hat measures 7” from top to bottom, and 13” around the bottom band (unstretched). The hat is stretchy enough to fit up to a 20” head.

The simple stitch pattern is easy to remember and creates an interesting textured rib, utilizing only knit and purl stitches.
