Making Memories Crochet Beanie is an intermediate level crochet beanie with a lovely, unique texture that is snuggly to wear.

A sizing table is provided so that the beanie can be made with any 10ply/Worsted yarn (recommended) or 8ply/DK yarn (also suitable) for standard child/tween/woman/man size.

The basic beanie design and a single brim option is available for free from my blog. The pdf version of the pattern includes multiple brim options and images for 3L and 4L location.

Pattern Details
Beanie Size: Size to preference. The pattern includes a sizing table based on the American Yarn Council standard head sizes for child, tween, woman and man. The beanie can also be made to measure for child size upwards.
Skill Level:  Intermediate.
Stitch Terminology: US – refer also to Abbreviations and Special Stitch Instructions.
Recommended Yarn: 10 ply/Worsted/Cat. 4 weight yarn of any fibre that provides a good stitch definition (i.e., avoid fluffy, feathery, or heavily textured yarns). An 8ply/DK/Cat 3. weight yarn can also be used, if preferred. Example project yarns are provided in Appendix A. Also refer to Ravelry for additional yarn inspiration.
Hook: Follow yarn label as a guide or use your preferred hook. Swatch and adjust hook if/as necessary to achieve the preferred density of crochet fabric.
Gauge: Not important for this item – ensure beanie circumference and length approximates the Sizing Table.
Pattern Synopsis: Constructed working in rounds, from bottom to top using a modified shell stitch, including stitches in 3LO (for texture). The brim is added next – multiple options are provided.
